2026 CARNIVAL DATES

Following the outstanding success of 2025’s inaugural event, the Ladbrokes Cairns Super Carnival returns in 2026, once again combining North Queensland’s most exciting racing celebrations into one spectacular 8-day festival of racing, fashion, glamour, entertainment, and fine food. The 2026 carnival embraces the theme “Carnival of Colour” – a vibrant celebration inspired by the spectacular palette of Far North Queensland.

This celebration will run from Friday, 21st August to Saturday, 29th August 2026, at Ladbrokes Cannon Park, the home of the Cairns Jockey Club.

Thursday 27th August 2026 — Ladbrokes Sports Luncheon & Calcutta | Ladbrokes Cannon Park

Friday 28th August 2026 — Ladbrokes Cairns Newmarket Ladies Day | Ladbrokes Cannon Park

Saturday 29th August 2026 — Red Beret Hotel Cairns Cup Day | Ladbrokes Cannon Park

Beyond the track, the Super Carnival once again presents a standout calendar of premium social events, including the Carnival Launch, Cairns Cup Live Barrier Draw, Cairns Central Fashions on the Field, and the Ladbrokes Sportsmans Luncheon & Calcutta, reinforcing its place as one of the must-attend events on the Australian spring racing calendar
