All the makings of a St Valentine’s Day love story – Great Northern Brewing Co. Cairns Super Carnival 2025 Ambassadors June Sheppard and Lachlan Rogers will fly the Cairns Super Carnival flag with fashionable flair.
Friday 14 February 2025. Renowned for seamlessly blending classic couture with contemporary flair, one of the award-winning Fashions on the Field duos from the far north has been ‘crowned’ the inaugural Great Northern Brewing Co. Cairns Super Carnival ambassadors ahead of the nine-day extravaganza in August 2025.
Merging Far North Queensland’s biggest race days into one, the Cairns Jockey Club was thrilled to announce the launch of the Cairns Super Carnival last month.
Apart from showcasing Cairns Super Carnival’s three days of vibrant Fashions on the Field competitions, part of the August festival, the stylish, Tablelands based partnership, both on and off the Fashions on the Field catwalk, will assess this year’s most fashionable entrants.
Cairns Jockey Club General Manager Cameron Riches said, “We’re gearing up for the inaugural Great Northern Brewing Co. Cairns Super Carnival, which combines both the Cairns Cup Carnival and the Cairns Amateurs Carnival.
We’ve received incredible support from our members, industry participants, major sponsors, and visitors, who have already begun booking from interstate and overseas to attend the carnival. We’re also excited to announce that tickets are now available.”
“We are thrilled to share that June Sheppard and Lachlan Rogers will be our ambassadors for the Great Northern Brewing Co. Cairns Super Carnival. Both June and Lachlan frequently attend races and had significant success at the Cairns Cup Carnival in 2024,” Mr Riches said, adding that today’s ambassador announcement is timely.
“We have designed our marketing campaign to leverage the duo’s enthusiasm, representation and participation as they spread the word at carnivals across the region from now until August,” he said.
