Tuesday 1st of November sees Cairns Jockey Club turn into a mini Flemington to host the Melbourne Cup Race Day. With the Thoroughbreds racing on the Track, and fashion to rival Flemington, it is fast becoming one of the best days of country racing in FNQ. Featuring 5 live races on the day, and watch the Melbourne Cup on the 30 plasmas throughout the venues, with the first race kicking off at 1.30pm and the party will continue with live music into the evening.

The stakes are high for this year’s Melbourne Cup Fashions on the Field, with thousands of dollars in prize, and the grand prize return airfares to anywhere on the east coast of Australia for two people by way of a certificate, proudly donated by Sassi Shoes on Grafton St.

The Corporate Boxes looking straight into the Mounting Yard will be decked out to VIP standards for our Corporate Packages. Cannon Park will be the only place in Cairns with Full TAB access, live racing, and Bookmakers on site to give you the best odds. Melbourne Sweeps, best dressed, and loads of other entertainment.
