Autumn Race Wear for this Season
by Amanda Macor
Key trends for Autumn race wear are leather in pencil skirts with cute ruffled blouses and a tailored jacket. Leather hats and accessories are another way to incorporate the trend in the tropics.
Capelets are being reincarnated in various forms, fabrics and styles with fur, feather and beaded trims, worn over a simple dress and a simple fashion forward alternative to a jacket. Two piece suits are always a fashion staple and now embrace pumped out shoulders full of volume. Sheer fabrics have always been a huge trend and for autumn we will see this favorite mixed with contrasting textures like leather and lace or organza and tweed, the idea is to mix it up. The one shouldered dress is hot for the races in a fitted knee length version by pairing with a structured headpiece and gloves. Boots are everywhere this autumn in all shapes and sizes, looking particularly good with race wear are the peep toe booties in suede and leather in gorgeous colours.
