Cairns Cup Carnival in 2010
Ladies Day on Saturday will see a six race event program this year with quality racing and we will back it up on Sunday for the three feature races being the Cairns Post Lightning Handicap, Cazaly’s Newmarket and the Cellarbrations Cairns Cup.
The Cairns Jockey Club is happy to announce we have secured both Saturday and Sunday as TAB Meetings! The 2 Day Carnival will be covered Nationally and Internationally on the Sky Channel network, With an amazing ¼ Million Dollar Prize Pool.
The Cellarbrations' Cairns Cup Carnival August 7-8th , 2010 is going to be bigger and better then ever, with the annual running of the Cairns Cup on Sunday August 8th.
Cairns Cup Day and will be covered nationally and internationally on the Sky Channel network and will be the only club in Queensland racing
on that day to have secured live hosting from Sky Channel.

Fashions on the Field is a major focus, not only do the ladies dress to the nines, they also provided a visual spectacle at least to equal to the efforts of the horses on the track. This year we are giving the ladies a special treat with the Fashionista's Cocktail Party on the 30th July, for a sneak peak of what to expect from our local designers and fashionista's! We are also hosting the Fashionable Fillies with a brand new location and layout...girls get ready to be VIPs and rub shoulders with the celebrities! Live Entertainment by "Out of the Blue" Duo. Cairns Cup Carnival kicks off Friday August 6
with the Calcutta evening at the Court House Hotel with free entry and
barbecue with everybody welcome.
With Bluey & Mark Forbes hosting the event and appearances from a few celebrity jockeys, it's a night of fun in the lead up to the carnival.

card with great racing, glitz, glamour and
Fashions on the Field and live
entertainment throughout the day
which has proven to be extremely popular
with the younger demographic at Cannon Park.
Sunday August 8 Cairns Cup Day
Eight race program featuring the
$40,000 Cellarbrations Cairns Cup
$25,000 Babinda Electrics Newmarket handicap and the
$20,000 Cairns Post Lightning Handicap.
The Court House Hotel "Home of Racing"
The Court House Hotel have joined with the Cairns Jockey Club to become the "Home of Racing", as well as hosting the Calcutta on Friday, they will also be the meeting place for the Carnival. Join up with your mates at the Court House and Catch the Free Buses, leaving the Court House every hour! No need to find a designated driver...the Courth House Hotel will be providing buses to and from the Carnival all weekend! Join the Official After Party at the Court House from 7pm each night, and watch the highlights of the day on the big screens, with food and live entertainement, let the party continue!
